Terms of service

1. Who we are
TERMINAL808 is operated by Arcane Group Limited.
Office B, 11/F, Wah Kit Commercial Building, 302 Des Voeux Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong SAR
Email: support@terminal808.com
These terms govern purchases from terminal808.com and use of TERMINAL808 plugins, the HUB and related account services. The product description, checkout details and the policies linked below form part of your purchase terms. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. Orders, prices and digital delivery
Our products are licensed digital software, not physical goods. Review the product description, compatibility and final checkout total before paying. Prices, currency, taxes and any recurring payment terms are displayed at checkout. You must provide accurate billing and account information and have authority to use the chosen payment method.
Confirmed payment creates access for the account associated with your order. Installation is through TERMINAL808 HUB. See our Digital delivery policy for installation and support instructions. If we cannot supply an accepted order, we will notify you and refund the affected payment.
3. One-time licences and ALL ACCESS
A one-time plugin purchase grants a perpetual licence to that purchased product under these terms. It does not require an ALL ACCESS subscription and is not lost when ALL ACCESS ends. A perpetual licence describes its duration; it does not promise compatibility with every future operating system or host, or include every future separately sold product.
ALL ACCESS grants access to the plugins included in the active subscription offer for your paid coverage period. It renews monthly until cancelled. See our Subscription cancellation policy. The checkout clearly distinguishes a one-time purchase from a recurring subscription.
4. Software licence
We grant you a non-exclusive licence to install and use the software for your own work on up to three authorised Macs under your control, unless your product offer expressly states a different limit. You may use the plugins to create, perform and commercially distribute your own audio and music. We do not claim ownership of your audio, music or projects.
Keep your account and activation credentials private. Do not share an account to supply licences to other people, redistribute the plugin binaries as a standalone product, sublicense or rent access, remove ownership notices, or circumvent licensing and update-verification controls. Reverse engineering is restricted only to the extent permitted by law; statutory interoperability, research and other mandatory exceptions remain available. Rights granted by third-party open-source licences remain unaffected. Contact support for device replacement, account recovery or a licence-transfer request; any mandatory transfer rights are preserved.
5. Compatibility, activation and updates
The current installation path requires macOS 13 or later and TERMINAL808 HUB 0.9.0 or later on an Apple Silicon or Intel Mac. Plugins include Audio Units (AU) for Logic Pro and VST3 for compatible DAWs. Product-specific requirements and routing limitations appear on the product page. No Windows or standalone version is included unless explicitly stated.
Internet access is required for sign-in, download, initial activation and periodic licence refresh. Permanent purchases currently receive a 30-day offline authorisation period after a successful refresh and up to 14 additional days of failure grace. Subscription-only access is limited by the paid-through date and applicable short payment grace. Expiry of a local offline authorisation does not turn a permanent purchase into a subscription; reconnect and refresh it through the HUB. Contact support if a service or activation problem prevents authorised use.
The HUB registers a per-user background agent to refresh licences and update the HUB and already-installed eligible plugins. You can manage that background item through macOS System Settings. Newly purchased plugins require an explicit install. Updates to plugins used by a running supported DAW are deferred until it closes. Keep project backups and check compatibility before important sessions. We provide updates and remedies required by applicable law.
6. Refunds, withdrawal and support
One-time purchases and the first ALL ACCESS payment have a 14-day voluntary refund window, including after activation, under our Refund policy. Consumer rights concerning faulty software, withdrawal and refunds remain protected. Contact us using the details above for technical or purchase support.
7. Account restrictions and termination
We may restrict access where payment has been refunded or reversed, a licence has expired, or there is a substantiated breach of these terms or unlawful use. We will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve a remediable issue where appropriate and permitted. Contact support if you believe access was restricted incorrectly. A restriction affecting one product or subscription does not, by itself, cancel unrelated permanent purchases.
8. Responsibility and consumer protection
We will provide the software and services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with their description and applicable law. No online service or software can be guaranteed free from every interruption or error. We do not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or consumer remedy that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
For business customers only, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential business losses; our aggregate liability relating to an affected product or subscription is limited to the amount paid for that product or for the affected subscription during the previous 12 months. The exceptions above apply. These business limitations do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy policy explains store, payment, licensing, device and fraud-prevention data processing and how to exercise your rights. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, device credentials or sensitive project files in a support request.
10. Changes and applicable law
The terms accepted for a purchase govern that purchase. Later changes do not remove an existing permanent licence or statutory rights. We will give notice of material changes affecting continuing services and obtain consent where required. Hong Kong law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections and court rights available to consumers in their country of residence. This clause does not require consumers to give up those protections or bring a claim exclusively in Hong Kong.
